Archbishop John marks Golden Jubilees and thanks Religious in parish visits

Archbishop John Wilson has visited several parishes across the Archdiocese, celebrating Mass for key milestones and Archdiocesan events.
The Archbishop celebrated Mass for significant anniversaries in two parishes. In Dartford, Archbishop John celebrated the Golden Jubilee of the completion of St Anselm’s Catholic Church, marking 50 years of the church building.
The Archbishop also celebrated the 50th anniversary of the consecration of Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church in Addiscombe. The celebration included the blessing of a beautiful new outdoor mosaic and grotto, adding to the parish’s sacred space.
The Archbishop was invited to Aylesford for the annual Day for Religious. Archbishop John took the opportunity to thank the consecrated men and women in the Archdiocese for their powerful witness and faithful service to the Lord Jesus and His Church.
Archbishop John also celebrated Mass for the Day of Renewal at St George’s Cathedral. Organised by the Southwark Charismatic Renewal Team, the day included Eucharistic adoration, Reconciliation, and worship through music. Following the Mass, Archbishop John asked everyone present to pray over him.
